SC / ST Cell
The SC/ST Cell of our institution was established as per the UGC guidelines to empower students from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities. The cell aims to promote the welfare and interests of SC/ST students and staff, addressing their grievances and facilitating their participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
Objectives:
1. To provide guidance and support to SC/ST students in accessing financial assistance from government agencies and other sources.
2. To promote academic and extracurricular participation among SC/ST students.
3. To address grievances and provide redressal mechanisms for SC/ST students and staff.
4. To organize career orientation and skill enhancement programs for SC/ST students.
5. To create awareness about the E-Grantz portal among students and faculty members.
6. To provide training on the online scholarship application process.
7. To resolve issues related to E-Grantz and ensure smooth disbursement of scholarships.
Activities:
Conducted orientation programs for SC/ST students to familiarize them with college facilities and services.
Provided guidance and assistance to SC/ST students in applying for scholarships and financial assistance.
Addressed grievances and provided redressal mechanisms for SC/ST students and staff.
Achievements:
• Successfully facilitated the disbursement of scholarships to SC/ST students.
• Improved academic performance and participation of SC/ST students in extracurricular activities.
• Strengthened the institution's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Future Plans:
• To establish a mentorship program for SC/ST students.
• To organize workshops and seminars on topics relevant to SC/ST students.
• To strengthen ties with government agencies and other organizations to provide better support to SC/ST students.
