Every student shall be in the college campus before the first bell. Students must be regular and punctual. No student shall leave the college campus during the college hours without the permission of the principal.
Within the college, students should be in possession of their handbook and ID card. Handbook should be properly updated.
Full uniform is compulsory on all days including university examinations. Students shall wear neat and decent dress. Improper dress - such as low waist pants, ankle length pants and unbuttoned shirt in the class room or in the college - is not permitted. Acts of indiscipline will not be tolerated.
During the working hours, students shall not loiter around the college premises. They must be present in the class room unless they have been asked to be otherwise for some legitimate activity.
Discipline and decorum have to be maintained during the meetings of the College Union and other affiliated associations.
Students shall not be found on the verandah of the office unless they have some legitimate official business to transact. When they are there for transacting business, they shall observe strict discipline.
No student shall leave the hall, for any reason whatsoever, in the middle of an address or a talk delivered by a visitor or a member of the staff.
All serious or wilful damage to college property shall have to be paid for together with such penalty as may be imposed by the principal.
Any agitation directed against the authorities, any meeting likely to excite disloyalty or disaffection towards the Government, any movement likely to promote communal ill feeling etc. is not permitted.
Students should not address any gathering within the premises of the college without the permission of the principal.
Office-bearers of the College Union and the affiliated Associations should observe these rules of conduct strictly and do their best to see that they are observed by the rest. Any office bearer who is found to be repeatedly violating these rules will be removed from the office he/she holds and will not be eligible to stand for any election thereafter.
Conduct certificate is a document which the student has to earn. It will not be issued as a matter of routine
Students are not allowed to enter other class rooms without permission.
Students, if absent, are directed to fill their Absence Record in the Hand Book with the parent’s signature and get it signed by the class teacher, the next day when he/she comes to the college.
Use of mobile phones on the college campus is restricted. Cases of indiscriminate/unlawful use of mobile phones on the campus will be strictly dealt with.
Bikers are advised, in their own best interests, to abide by the following:
1.More than two riders are not permitted on a motorbike.
2.Use of helmets for both riders is mandatory.
This rule will be strictly implemented at the college gate and within the campus limits.
All types of vehicles should be parked in the designated parking areas only. Careless, random parking is not allowed.
During Onam, Xmas and College Day celebrations on the campus, attempts made by flag-wielding student groups in dubious names to enjoy themselves in their own way are treated as unlawful and hence not permitted.
Taking out processions or/and bursting fire crackers inside the campus during celebrations/festivities are treated as unlawful and hence not permitted.
Students who use motor cars/bikes should observe normal driving habits and campus speed restrictions at all times. Crazy “show off’’ attempts to rev up engines and racing-style high speed dare devil performances are offences punishable under law. These are banned on campuses by the Government of Kerala as well as the Hon. High Court of Kerala.
Students absent in classes for 14 days continuously will be removed from the rolls. Cases of prolonged absenteeism should be reported to the college office.
75% attendance in a semester is mandatory to appear in the university examinations. Less than 75% cases will be governed by the relevant university rules.
Normally, students are not encouraged for college transfer during their programme of study.
Change of address should be intimated by all students, including hostellers, in the College Office with immediate effect.
In case of leave on medical ground, medical certificates should be submitted on the rejoining date itself.
Only parents (father or mother) are entertained to attend parents meeting and also for discussion regarding their son/daughter.
Study tour programmes and all other external activities will be conducted with prior permission from parents through consent letters.
Students are not supposed to collect cash from the classmates or other students, without the permission of the principal.
Habitual negligence in work, disobedience, and acts of misconduct within or outside college will invite severe disciplinary action including expulsion from the college.
College authorities may revise the above rules and regulations at any time.
